Web Hosting Providers for Wordpress User

Which UK Web Hosting provider should I choose for my WordPress blog? What UK Web Host do you recommend?

Which UK Web Hosting provider is best to host my WordPress blog? I have tried 5 but I keep having downtime. I just want to host my blog and eventually an online shop using Magento.

I’ve been hosting my site with Evohosting for years, and I really like them.

I’ve never had any issues with downtime with them, and their prices are really good. You shouldn’t have any problems using WordPress or Magento with them, because you get them free when you sign up. You also get something like 60 other scripts for free, but I really like Magento and WordPress.

So I guess I’d have to recommend Evohosting. Just really good customer service, cheap, no downtime issues, and lots of free stuff!

Best of luck to you with your site!

The web isn’t located anywhere – you should choose the best host regardless of location.

Take into consideration that web hosting is a global service. It does not matter what country you are located in; US, UK, Canada, Australia or India. It is good to note that the cost of hosting services in most countries is generally a little more expensive in comparison to the same services in Canada and the United States. Specifically, American web hosts offer a much better value for money than any local hosting.

If you’re going to start your blog at your own domain with different pages, you need a web host providing wordpress.
    Take a look at: http://www.threehosts.com/blog

There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the blog website hosting industry.

    Hope this helps.

First, don’t listen to those who say it doesn’t matter where your website is hosted because it’s a global service.

True, you can host anywhere, but what many people don’t understand is how Google works. Google tries to deliver the best possible search results for the person who is using their search engine. When you use it, Google looks at the location you are in and websites which are hosted on web servers near you will likely be returned in the results higher than others.

So people who host their sites on servers in London, England will have a better chance of showing up in searches for the guy living in England because Google is trying to play match maker.

That said, you might want to try
http://www.eventurebiz.com/webhosting/ (eVentureBiz). When you sign up for their hosting you have a choice where you want your site to be hosted – servers in California, USA or England. Obviously, you’d want England.

The plus side is they also own a company called WpBlogHost – http://wpbloghost.com

So they know a lot about blogging and WordPress.

    Good luck.

I agree, I personally LOVE HostGator! But, I would recommend going through a site like http://hostgumbo.com just to pick up the freebies and giveaways they offer, i just got my first three months of hosting for free through them… but pick hostgator as your host of choice. You won’t regret it. They are an experienced company and I’ve never had any downtime with my sites.
