   Geocities is a big ripoff plus the service is bad. Ever since Yahoo bought it in 1999 it has gone downhill. Recommend that you take a look at Microsoft Office Live Small Business – http://tinyurl.com/msolsb . It is a free service for creating and hosting your website. Right now, MS is offering a free domain name for the first year (e.g. website.com). It also has a great online website builder that allows you to create webpages without coding. Since you created a website in dreamweaver, you can upload that to office live as well. You will need to activate its third-party designer tool option. Once activated, you will get a link to a webfolder. Just copy the files you created in Dreamweaver into it.

   A 200 page website inclusive of text and pictures would require about 50 Mb of space or even less. Since it is for your personal use I do not think you will be needing so much. Ideally the amount of bandwidth you should be looking for is 1Gb to 5Gb. This too might be a bit too much for your purpose. http://hosting-plan-rebates.blogspot.com/ provides some very affordable hosting packages. I use hostgator and I am very satisfied with them. Even bluehost is recommended. I would not however recommend going with geocities.

    I believe most Web Hosting companies to be quite similar, they may have slight variances in bandwidth, they may or may not have limits on the number of domains you wish to use or the number of email accounts you need. However, as you probrably know already from your own research, you must avoid all free hosting sites.
